Overview

MudForge is a MUD (Multi-User Dungeon) client developed by MudVault. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data MudForge collects, stores, and transmits.

Data We Do Not Collect

MudForge does not:

• Collect personal information
• Use analytics or tracking services
• Display advertisements
• Require account creation or login
• Transmit any data to MudVault or any third party

Data Stored Locally

MudForge stores the following data locally on your device to provide its functionality:

• Connection settings — server addresses, port numbers, and character names for MUD servers you configure
• Client settings — your preferences such as font size, color schemes, and UI layout
• Triggers, aliases, timers, and variables — automation rules you create
• Plugin data — settings and persistent data used by Lua plugins
• Map data — room and area information received from MUD servers via GMCP

This data never leaves your device. It is stored in your browser's local storage or in the app's local database (on desktop and mobile). You can delete this data at any time by clearing the app's data in your device settings.

Network Connections

MudForge connects to MUD game servers that you specify. These connections are made directly between your device and the game server. MudVault does not operate, monitor, or relay these connections.

The data transmitted over these connections (game commands, text output, and protocol messages such as GMCP and MSDP) is determined by the MUD server you connect to. MudVault has no control over or access to this data.

Passwords

If you choose to save a password for a MUD server connection, it is stored locally on your device only. MudForge does not transmit passwords to MudVault or any third party. Passwords are sent only to the MUD server you connect to, as part of the normal login process.

Children's Privacy

MudForge does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Since we do not collect any personal data, there is no data to be concerned about in this regard.

Third-Party Services

MudForge does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Disclaimer

MudForge is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. MudVault is not responsible for any loss of data, including but not limited to locally stored settings, connection configurations, triggers, aliases, variables, plugin data, or map data. You are solely responsible for backing up any data you wish to preserve. MudVault shall not be held liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use MudForge, including data loss, service interruptions, or any content encountered on third-party MUD servers.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, the changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Since MudForge does not collect contact information, we cannot notify users directly of changes.
